The Spirit of Volunteerism is alive and well at the Eglin Thrift Shop.  The mission of the shop is accomplished almost entirely with volunteers dedicated to giving their time and skill to help run the shop.

 

Here are some important details about our volunteer schedule and opportunities:

Volunteer Shifts:

• Tuesdays & Thursdays: Anytime between 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

• Wednesdays & Fridays: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM The store is open to the public and you’re welcome to come in during these hours as well.

• First Friday of the month: The shop extends its hours to 5:30 PM.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

As a volunteer, you’ll help with a variety of tasks including organizing merchandise, assisting customers, and maintaining the store’s appearance. Your support is crucial in keeping the Thrift Shop running smoothly and effectively serving our community.

1. Confirm Your Availability: Click the button down below to sign up to volunteer. Please let us know which days and times work best for you. This will help us coordinate schedules and ensure that we have the right coverage for each shift.

2. Attend an Orientation: Come in during any volunteer shift to attend a brief orientation to introduce you to the team, explain our procedures, and answer any questions you might have.

3. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Volunteers should be at least 16 years old, unless accompanied by an adult and approved by the manager. We would be happy to sign your high school student's community service time log.
